Opiliones

The Opiliones order consists of “harvestman” or “daddy-long-legs”. They are about 1/4" long. They’re black, tan, or red in color and have black legs. They have long, hair-like legs, 2 body segments jointed into one, and two eyes.

These aracnids live in the forest and are found on trees, on the ground, and under logs and rocks. They are scavengers, eating small insects and decaying organic material.
