Conservation Status

Identifying Features

The flowers of this species are pink to purple, small, and fuzzy in flat 5" clusters.

The leaves are narrow, toothed, whorled in fours and fives on a deep purple stem. The plants grow to a height of 4'.

Habitat & Range

Spotted joe-pye weed grows in moist fields in eastern United States and southeastern Canada.

Life Cycle

The flowers bloom from July to September.

This species is an herbaceous perennial.
