Identifying Features
The common cinquefoil is a yellow flower that is 1/2 inches in length, with five petals. It contains serrated leaves that grow from a seperate stalk from the flower and in groups of five.
Habitat & Range
The common cinquefoil can be found in fields and dry woods throughout eastern North America.
Behavior
The flower produces nectar and pollen that attracts many small bees and flies.
Life Cycle
The common cinquefoil blooms from spring to mid-summer between the months of April-June.
