|Species: Solidago caesia|
Blue-stemmed goldenrod can be identified from others by its blue-purple stems and deep green leaves.
Habitat & Range
Goldenrods are often found in open, sunny areas such as fields, trail-sides, and meadows. This species is found across the eastern United States and the most southeastern areas of Canada.
Goldenrods begin life as seeds that germinate and grow in the spring. During the summer (July-October), the flowers bloom and produce seeds that restart the cycle again.
